Conservation projects

The Wadden Sea is a multifaceted ecological entity. Consequently, the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation deals with several topics when working towards the conservation of the World Heritage site and looks at geomorphology and climate, habitats and communities, species, human activities and pollution concerning the Wadden Sea. For the most pressing issues, such as climate change, salt marshes and dunes, breeding and migratory birds, fish, seals and alien species, Expert Groups have been formed to assist monitoring and management.
