From 8 to 11 May 2017, over 130 experts on the Wadden Sea met in Tønder at the 14th International Scientific Wadden Sea Symposium (ISWSS).
In the margins of the 14th ISWSS in Tønder, a Korean delegation and the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation discussed further activities in the framework of their Memorandum of Understanding.

At the end of January 2017, the municipalities of Varde, Esbjerg, Fanø and Tønder welcomed Co Verdaas, Chairman of the Wadden Sea Board, Rüdiger Strempel, CWSS Executive Secretary and CWSS Communications Officer Annika Bostelmann to the Danish Wadden Sea.
On 17 November 2017, the three national delegations of Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands as well as advisors from the Wadden Sea Forum and the NGOs Waddenvereniging and WWF met for the 21st meeting of the Wadden Sea Board.
In their June meeting, the Interreg North Sea Region Programme’s Steering Committee approved the project “PROWAD LINK”.
